§ 6-30. Exception.

  • Any business prohibited from selling alcoholic beverages by section 6-25 shall be exempt from said prohibition so long as the business was in continuous operation and open for business on December 8, 1998, and so long as the ownership of said business and license issued to said business by the state that authorize the sale of alcoholic beverages shall remain as existed on December 8, 1998. In the event the business or license is owned wholly or in part by an individual, any change in ownership in whole or in part shall exclude the business or license from this section. In the event the business or license is owned in whole or in part by an entity of any type other than a sole proprietor, any change in the ownership, percentage of ownership or portion of ownership of said entity shall exclude the business or license from this section.
