§ 66-207. Expansion philosophy.

  • Water services for purpose of potable use and fire flow capacity is of paramount concern in the town approval process for new development. Commercial, industrial, institutional, multifamily residential, and residential development shall bear the cost for extending the town's water system within town rights-of-way and utility easements to accommodate said development. Where necessary rights-of-way or utility easements are required and not existing, new developments must acquire and dedicate such to the town. This article is adopted for the purpose of promoting the health, safety, and general welfare of the residents of the town.
