§ 66-148. Property access for cross connection control.

  • Employees of the water and engineering departments of the town and their agents bearing proper credentials and identifications shall be permitted to enter at reasonable times any building, structure or property served by a connection to the public potable water supply system of the town for the purpose of inspecting the connection, backflow protection devices, and all portions of the piping system on such property. If consent to such access cannot be obtained from the owner, occupant or customer of the premises to be inspected, the town may obtain an inspection warrant pursuant to F.S. § 933.21; or in the event of an emergency, the town employees and their agents may enter the premises without consent.
