§ 42-26. Location of containers.

  • (a)

    The town shall pick up solid waste containers from the curbside of each dwelling or commercial establishment.

    (b)

    Solid waste containers shall be kept in a place easily accessible to the inspectors and to the employees of the sanitary department of the town and shall not be kept upon town or public property or neighboring property not in the ownership or tenancy of the person by whom the solid waste is accumulated, whether such neighboring property be vacant or improved. Storage of solid waste in an open solid waste container or in a covered portion of a garage or outbuilding will not be permitted, except upon the written approval of the town commission.
