§ 30-28. Removal of nuisances.

  • Whenever a nuisance exists, and notice to remove the nuisance shall have been given as provided for in sections 30-26 and 30-27, and the nuisances shall not have been removed, the town commission may direct the code enforcement officer to cause the nuisance to be removed and/or abated. When so directed, the code enforcement officer may enter onto the property, public or private, to remove and/or abate such nuisance. Costs incurred in the removal of the nuisance shall be taxed against the owner of the property, and the town shall have a lien on private property to the extent of the removal of such nuisances.
