§ 14-220. Notice of violation; notice of condemnation/order to demolish.

When the building official verifies that a structure is unfit or unsafe, the code
official shall determine the owner of record of the real estate upon which the structure
is located as set forth on the records of the county property appraiser, and shall
provide an initial notice of violation by first-class U.S. mail, postage paid, to
such owner of record at the address listed for such owner on the records of the county
property appraiser, and post such notice on the property. The initial notice of violation
shall state the requirements to secure or repair, and/or an initial notice of condemnation/order
to demolish requiring demolition and removal.
