§ 14-4. Natural disaster site preparation.

  • Any developer or builder who is duly permitted within this chapter and is under construction shall be required in case of a potential and forecasted natural disaster, such as a hurricane or tropical storm, to prepare the site in a reasonable manner to prevent damage to neighboring properties. Preventative action in such cases shall include the securing of building materials and the dumping of any and all construction dumpsters that are on site. Scrap materials and construction debris must also be picked up and secured. Such action shall occur, in the case of forecasted events, in sufficient time to prevent wind-borne damage by construction and demolition materials.
